BASIC EDGE PAINT
The Basic Edge Paint is the most affordable leather edge paint from Giardini products range. The applicability is very similar to traditional leather edge paints, but the final quality in leather edge finishing is higher, confirming the best price/quality ratio. This leather edge paint is available in more than 100 colors ready to be used, or a custom color paint requiring our dedicated service can also be created.
The Basic Edge Paint can be applied by hand and by machine and once dried it can be finished according to traditional finishing operations such as brushing, sanding or ironing.
The Basic Edge Paint is based on the polyurethane polymer MAXEDGE this is the result of Giardini’s first development in the field of leather edge paint. This edge paint was the first to almost completely abandon acrylic technology, thus becoming the starting point for future developments, in particular as regards the ecological sustainability of edge paints. The Basic Edge Paint therefore represents the “first development" of Giardini edge paints.
This is the cheapest paint in our product range but despite this, the price/quality ratio is great. In terms of application it is very similar to the traditional leather edge paints, but with a higher final quality in leather edge finishing. For the color creation we used the best pigments on the market, providing a range of 18 standard colors (all mixable with each other) from which 100 shades called Mixed Colors were created. These 118 colors are complemented by seasonal color trends and classic colors from the world's most famous luxury brands. The solidity of the color and its UV resistance ensure that color choices are maintained over time.
The Basic Edge Paint can also be applied in conjunction with the Basecoat Dense, this combination allows you a further improvement in the final quality of the leather edge, especially when working on leather edge of a medium-large width (see the video tutorials about how to use the Basecoat). The paint comes with a standard opacity, but if you want a glossy effect or an extra-matte effect, you can apply topcoat on top of it in order to get the desired finish. The product can be applied both by hand and by machine and once dry it can also be worked by brushing, sanding or ironing.
